Idara Otu is a Catholic theologian and member of the Missionary Society of St Paul. He received his doctorate in systematic theology from the University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto, Canada, where he served as an Aquinas Research Scholar. He teaches dogmatic theology, Vatican II and research methods at the National Missionary Seminary of St Paul, Abuja, Nigeria. His research focus includes ecclesiology, ecotheology, interfaith dialogue, and Catholic social doctrine. One of his forthcoming peer-reviewed publications is a book entitled: Communion Ecclesiology and Social Transformation: Between Vatican Council II and African Synod II (Wipf and Stock, expected date of release, summer, 2020).
